Rec Center Update

December 2, 2024

We want to keep you informed about the recent incident at the Recreation Center. Last night, a pipe burst, causing water damage in the fitness floor area. Thankfully, our team swiftly contained the situation, and all other areas of the Recreation Center are still open and functional. Our programming will proceed as planned (details below)

We understand how important our fitness facilities are to you, and our dedicated Park District crews are working around the clock to address and repair the damage.  During this time, the fitness floor will remain closed. However, in the coming days we will open a modified version of the fitness floor featuring cardio and strength equipment. We encourage you to keep an eye on our website and email updates for the latest information.

In the meantime, we’ve arranged for our members to access other facilities at no additional fee while the fitness floor is closed. Just bring your Recreation Center ID and photo ID to verify your membership to enjoy the following locations:

  1. Sachs Recreation Center | 455 Lake Cook Rd, Deerfield
  2. Glenview Park Center | 2400 Chestnut St, Glenview
  3. Center Fitness Club | 3000 Glenview Rd, Wilmette

Additionally, we want to remind you that all other areas of the Recreation Center remain OPEN for your enjoyment, including:

*Please note that the schedule may change, and any updates will be posted on our website.
