Become part of the team working to restore our natural areas. Activities include collecting seeds, planting native plants, and removing invasive species like buckthorn and garlic mustard. Heller Nature Center’s beekeeping volunteers help keep our hives healthy and thriving while learning about the world of honeybees. They gain hands-on experience in the apiary and have fun working with a diverse and knowledgeable group of staff and volunteers. Participation in the program can be as involved as you wish. Heller staff send out emails about special projects and when we host larger workdays.
