Under the direction of the Recreation Manager or their designee, the Building Coordinator is responsible for the facility and customer service operations at Deer Creek Racquet Club during their shift. The employee should possess good interpersonal skills and be comfortable working independently. The DCRC Building Coordinator may have the opportunity to work at the Recreation Center of Highland Park as a Building Coordinator when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manager on Duty
    • Oversee facility operations, including opening/closing, walk-throughs, and building maintenance.
    • Respond to emergencies, complete accident reports, and activate the Emergency Action Plan as needed.
  • Customer Service
    • Deliver exceptional service as the facility’s representative.
    • Greet and assist customers, provide accurate information, and manage inquiries in person and over the phone.
    • Follow Park District customer service standards.
  • Registration
    • Process tennis registrations, memberships, daily fees, and sales transactions in RecTrac.
    • Manage monetary transactions, check in members/guests, and ensure paperwork accuracy.
    • Open/close cash drawers and reconcile POS systems.
  • Other
    • Address report discrepancies and communicate customer issues with co-workers.
    • Manage work schedule conflicts with a 48-hour notice for changes.
    • Maintain accuracy and neatness in all processed work.
    • Perform additional Park District duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $18.50 – $22.00 Hourly
