Centennial Ice Arena seeks a Building Coordinator and Zamboni Operator. The Building Coordinator and Zamboni Operator is responsible for the care of the ice and facility during their shift as well as assisting with weekly ice maintenance and minor equipment repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain general cleanliness of facility.
  • Operate Zamboni in order to resurface ice.
  • Complete special projects, including painting and other minor aesthetic and repair work.
  • Perform weekly maintenance with Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Make minor repairs to the Zamboni.
  • Secure the building in opening or closing hours.
  • Know and follow emergency action procedures.
  • Monitor used of facility in all areas.
  • Supervise events and programs in facility as necessaryMaintain ice schedule.
  • Enforce rules of facility.
  • Field and answer questions to the best of their ability.
  • Perform other Park District related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $20.50 – $32.00 Hourly

Location: Centennial Ice Arena – Highland Park, IL
