Come try out a dance team class! Park District of Highland Park Dance is excited to announce a new opportunity for dance students ages 6-10 (1st-5th grade) with at least one year of dance class experience. The mission of the performance team is to provide a recreational opportunity for dance students who enjoy performing and want to be a part of a team. The performance team will have numerous opportunities throughout the year to perform at Park District events, as well as our annual winter and spring recital.

This is a year-long commitment, and all team members will attend 1 Ballet class a week and 1 Jazz class a week. Team classes will be a bridge from children’s dance and will focus on proper dance technique and performance skills in a positive, encouraging environment.

Anyone who is interested should plan on attending a tryout dance team class. Please note, anyone who attends a tryout class with 1 year of dance experience can sign up for the dance team. Registration for dance team classes will occur with Fall registration.
