Amy Gregor

Cheer Coach

Amy Gregor is a dedicated cheer coach and former educator with a passion for fostering confidence, teamwork, and skill development in young athletes. With a background as a junior high, high school, and collegiate cheerleader (Go Hoosiers!), Amy has leveraged her expertise to create a thriving cheerleading program in Highland Park, where she lives with her husband and three children.

Starting in 2018 with an after-school program at Braeside Elementary School, Amy has expanded her offerings to include multiple park district classes, clinics, and spirited birthday parties across the North Shore, which in turn became North Shore Cheer, LLC! Her programs emphasize the fundamentals of cheerleading—motion technique, stunting, tumbling, jumps, and dance—while fostering a strong sense of teamwork and community.

Amy continues to grow North Shore Cheer, most recently launching the Little Giants Sideline Cheer Program, with Brittany Dobslaf, for 4th-8th graders, giving young athletes the opportunity to cheer at local football games and build their skills in a supportive environment. She is passionate about expanding access to cheerleading in Highland Park and beyond, with a long-term goal of introducing high school sideline cheer teams.

With a background in education, Amy spent a decade as a teacher, mentoring student teachers and creating engaging learning experiences. She brings that same enthusiasm and commitment to her cheer programs, helping young athletes build confidence, leadership skills, and a love for the sport.
