To accommodate crews working on the Senior Center, from Thurs., Aug 1 through Sat., Aug 3 the Recreation Center elevator will be out of service. Also, on Thurs., Aug 1, from 8am to noon, the Recreation Center lobby, pool, and locker rooms will be closed and the entrance to the Center will be limited to the southeast side, next to the lobby and the emergency exit.  We appreciate your patience during this time.

Brown Park, originally named West Longview Park, was acquired in 1930. In 1964, the Park was officially named Brown Park to honor Edward J. Brown. Mr. Brown was the second Superintendent of Parks for the Park District and served in that position for 21 years.
