Did you know this is Native land? Chicago has the third largest urban Indigenous American population in the United States. Native Americans families are still living here. Join expert educator Le’Ana Asher, an award-winning contemporary artist with a profound connection to her Ojibwe heritage, to learn about the history and traditions of Native peoples of this region. There will be a craft activity, a native plant walk, and a presentation and discussion on the contemporary experiences of Native American people.
Pre-registration required. All participants, children and adults, must register for the program. Adults are $28 each and children are $20 each for this program. Children must be accompanied by a paid registered adult. Program is outdoors so please dress for the weather.
